Ahead of the new cast’s first performance at London’s Palace Theatre on Wednesday (24 May 2017), the Producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child release a first-look set of portraits by Charlie Gray.

Mark Rylance, three-time Tony Award winner (Jerusalem, Boeing-Boeing, Twelfth Night) and Academy Award-winner (Bridge of Spies), will return to Broadway in the critically acclaimed Shakespeare’s Globe production of FARINELLI AND THE KING, a new play with music by author and composer Claire van Kampen, it was announced today by producers Sonia Friedman, Shakespeare’s Globe and Paula Marie Black.

Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions have today confirmed that the production will have its Broadway premiere in the Spring of 2018 at the newly renovated Lyric Theatre in New York. As previously announced, the Lyric Theatre is currently undergoing a complete redesign and transformation in preparation for the North American premiere of the production.
The official opening will be on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Preview performances, casting and all further details will be announced in the coming months.

We are delighted to have won an incredible eleven awards at the 2017 Olivier Awards, including a record-breaking nine wins for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the most Olivier Awards ever won by any single production.
A further two Olivier Awards were awarded to Dreamgirls, which we are extremely proud to have brought to the West End thirty-five years after the ground-breaking original Broadway production.

Rehearsals began this week for the new West End cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child who will start their performances at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End on 24 May 2017 following the final performance from the current cast on 21 May 2017.

Sonia Friedman and Scott Rudin will present the new adaptation of George Orwell’s iconic novel 1984 at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre (139-141 West 44th Street). This new adaptation of Orwell’s iconic dystopian novel, created by Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan, heads to New York after four wildly successful London runs. The strictly limited engagement will open on Thursday, June 22, 2017.

Recognised in the Queen's 90th birthday honours list in June 2016, Sonia was presented with the award today at Buckingham Palace by HRH Prince Charles.
